== Description ==

BrandMail Pro helps WordPress site owners apply consistent branding to transactional emails sent through the BrandMail Pro API. It is intentionally focused on transactional email presentation and does not provide newsletters, campaigns, CRM, automation, funnels, SMTP replacement, or a mail server.

Core workflows:

* Configure brand name, logo URL, colors, sender identity, support contact, footer text, and legal links.
* Edit reusable transactional email templates.
* Preview HTML and plain-text output before sending.
* Send test emails through WordPress mail.
* Review privacy-conscious delivery logs.
* Export and import settings between sites.
* Configure log retention and uninstall data behavior.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the `brandmail-pro` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/` or upload the ZIP through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
2. Activate BrandMail Pro.
3. Open BrandMail Pro > Branding and configure your brand.
4. Review BrandMail Pro > Templates.
5. Send a test email from BrandMail Pro > Preview.
6. Export settings from BrandMail Pro > Import / Export after approval.

BrandMail Pro uses WordPress mail. If your hosting environment cannot send mail reliably, use a dedicated SMTP or transactional mail plugin alongside BrandMail Pro.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does BrandMail Pro send newsletters or campaigns? =

No. BrandMail Pro is only for transactional email branding.

= Does BrandMail Pro replace SMTP? =

No. It formats and sends through WordPress mail. It does not replace your SMTP provider, mail server, or domain authentication setup.

= Are full email bodies stored in logs? =

No, not by default. BrandMail Pro stores delivery metadata only unless an administrator enables full body logging for troubleshooting.

= How long are logs retained? =

The default retention is 30 days. Administrators can change retention under BrandMail Pro > Import / Export > Privacy and Data Retention.

= What happens on uninstall? =

Administrators choose whether uninstall keeps data or removes all BrandMail Pro options and log tables. The default is to keep data.
